Friends of the Library book lovers will now have a larger place to buy books and the Carson City Chamber of Commerce plans to launch the opening with a ribbon cutting.
Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell will kick off the community event Friday, 10 a.m. at 2311 North Carson Street, behind Denny’s Restaurant. The Friends of the Carson City Library has a new location for book sales, providing plenty of parking off of Hot Springs both in front of the building and behind it. Having a “permanent” space for Friends of the Library sales also means regular book buying opportunities for the community.
During the chamber ribbon cutting, folks can tour the new facility and stock up on books for summer reading (or snowy days).
The hours for the first Friends of the Library sale in February are:
— Thursday, Feb. 14th – 3 pm to 6 pm – preview for members only
— Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 and 16 – 10 am to 4 pm for everybody
