Cathryn Waelbrock was born on July 7, 1950 to Glenn Gullick and Betty Elliott in Chico, Calif. She died February 6, 2016 in Carson City, Nev. Cathryn is predeceased by her brother, Bruce Gullick, and survived by her brother, Michael Gullick. Cathryn is also survived by her five children, Christy Minor, Patrica Hopper, Lucas Waelbrock, Ryan Waelbrock and Tyler Waelbrock.
Cathryn was a beloved mother and beacon of inspiration. She worked with JCPenny’s for many years and was honored for her service through her professionalism, kindness and fortitude. In the later part of the 1990’s, she became ill and had to be placed on disability. While struggling with her illness, she tried hard to maintain a stable environment for her children. Along the way, she took in many other children needing a place to stay and was always known as “mom” to many of them.
Cathryn loved her family and friends unconditionally and always enjoyed spending time with them all. Her friends, family and her children, including those she took in, will also love and remember her. She will shine on in our memories and always live within our hearts.
