At 9:50 p.m. on January 29th,2026, Carson City Deputies responded to multiple reports of a shooting taking place near the intersection of Condor Circle and Mockingbird Way.  Initial reports indicated more than 5 shots were heard and several people were seen running from the area.  By 9:51 p.m., Deputies were on scene and determined that although one residence was hit by gunfire, no injuries had occurred.  A total of seven expended shell casing were discovered.

At the scene, Detectives and Special Enforcement Deputies were able to determine that at least three persons were in the area and likely the suspects of the shooting.  Using data from the Carson City Sheriff’s Real Time Information platform, the suspects were identified and determined to be at a residence on Indian Drive in Douglas County.  Both Carson City and Douglas County Sheriff’s moved SWAT resources into the area at approximately 3:55 a.m. after a warrant was issued from the Carson City Courts.  The SWAT teams working in unison were able to take three people into custody, while a fourth person that had been detained was soon released.  A semi-automatic pistol linked to the shooting was recovered at the scene.  There were no reports of injury or property damage at the Indian Drive location.   

Taken into custody and transported to Carson City Detention Centers were Lyon County resident Christian Bryant, 18 years old, Douglas County resident Frankie Hernandez-Peregrina, 19 years old, and a Lyon County (Fernley) juvenile.  All three were charged similarly with Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Structure, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Changing/altering a Serial Number (gun), Damage to Property (Graffiti), Conspiracy to Commit Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Conspiracy to Shoot into an Occupied Structure.  Bail was set at $20,000.  The Lyon County Juvenile was also served with unrelated Lyon County Warrants.

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong credits the overlapping county law enforcement response and cooperation, combined with Real Time Information Center intelligence, as keys to the rapid resolution to this matter.
