For a decent five-hour span Wednesday, Carson High School hosted its third night time event of Winterfest week. Pertaining to the day’s theme of “Way back Wednesday,” the Senators hosted a diner night at Johnny Rockets.

The restaurant showcases a typical 1950’s diner that tied in perfectly with the “Way back Wednesday” theme. The school received 10 percent of the total profits from everybody who attended and purchased food.

Shaylin Segura, committee chair of Wednesday’s night time event had only positive things to say about the event. “We had an excellent turn out as far as attendance. The students who came almost all brought at least one friend so they were able to have good time. As far as service is concerned, the waiters and busers were on point and I have only heard good things about how fast the food and drinks were coming out. I couldn’t be happier with diner night’s splendid success!”

With only three days left of festivities in the week, the ensuing three days are going to be very exciting for all those involved with the high school.

The last of the nighttime events include ice skating at the Arlington Ice Rink located directly across from the Carson Nugget (which is also where the prince and princess of each class will be crowned); the highly anticipated basketball game against Damonte Ranch on Friday night as well as the King and Queen crowning and finally the semi-formal dance that will take place at the school from 7-10 on Saturday.
