Stagecoach, Nev. – On January 14, 2025, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by law enforcement officials from Clackamas County, Oregon, regarding an active arrest warrant for 56-year old Donald Leroy Scott, a resident of Stagecoach, Nevada.

The warrant charged Scott with multiple felony sexual offenses. Officials from Clackamas County requested assistance from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office to locate and apprehend Scott.

On the morning of January 15, 2025, members of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division Major Crimes Unit, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Task Force, and deputies from the Central Command Patrol area successfully located Scott driving in the Stagecoach area.

A coordinated traffic stop was conducted, and Scott was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently booked into the Lyon County Jail on a Fugitive from Justice Hold.

Scott is being held without bail and will remain in custody until he is extradited to Oregon, where he face the following charges:

First Degree Rape
Third Degree Rape
First Degree Sexual Abuse (3 counts)
Second Degree Sexual Penetration
First Degree Sexual Abuse
