CHS FBLA students just finished competing in the Nevada State Business Leadership Conference. Originally, the event was scheduled to be held in Reno, but had to be held digitally due to Covid-19.

Wes McQuillen and Kyle Robertson have been re-elected to the NCET board.

Ridge, elected as NCET’s vice president of public relations, is a public relations and strategic communications professional in Reno, with a background spanning several industries -- from travel and tourism to the non-profit sector.

There is a new group forming here in the Carson City area community. We are a group of business owners that meet to come up with solutions to different issues like time management, learning about social media, and overcoming other obstacles in the community. This meeting we will be learning about time management by using google calendar and task.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, we can expect sunny skies and continued highs in the mid-50s. Plus there's the first of 5 days of Valentine-themed festivities that begins at Carson Mall; an open house at Bethlehem Lutheran School, a CASA information hour, a Carson City School District meeting regarding proposed middle school zone modification. Plus there's a yoga class, Salsa dancing at Yaple's Ballroom, country and pop dancing at Carson Lanes, a safety workshop for women and more.

Chris Boline, Kevin Brunet, Gabbi Hall, Bryan Haskin and David Zybert have been elected to the board of directors of NCET, a member-supported non-profit that produces educational and networking events to help people explore businesses and technology.

Boline, elected as NCET’s vice president of social media and image management, works as a lead-generation specialist with The Applied Companies in Reno.

For the second year in a row, Adams Hub for Innovation in Carson City is collaborating with Entrepreneurs Assembly, The Governor’s Office of Economic Development and the Warsaw School of Economics to bring 10 very exciting Polish tech startups to explore potential collaborations and the Nevada business climate for their respective wares. This is part of a program funded by the EU, the Polish Government, and the Warsaw School of Economics.
