Reno Chamber Orchestra Violinist Emerita Marilyn Sevilla has passed away
We are deeply saddened to learn that Reno Chamber Orchestra Violinist Emerita and dear friend, Marilyn Sevilla, has passed away.
Marilyn was one of the founding members of the Orchestra in 1974 and often served as Concertmaster until her retirement in April 2014.
She was also a legendary performer in Reno's showrooms (along with her late husband, Fidel Sevilla), as well as a long-time member of the Carmel Bach Festival Orchestra, and the Reno Phil, where she also often served as Concertmaster.
Marilyn was inducted into the Nevada Musicians Hall of Fame in 2017. She will be greatly missed.
