2024 Capital City Brewfest to bring suds, music and food to downtown; tickets now available
Tickets are now available for this summer’s Capital City Brewfest. This year’s event takes place June 22 on Curry Street at McFadden Plaza in Carson City. More than two dozen brewers, as well as several food trucks, will line the street from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Plus there will be live music on the McFadden Plaza stage.
The annual event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Carson City.
“The Brewfest is the Rotary Club’s big annual fundraiser. It keeps the club financially upright and able to do all the things we do in the community,” said club President Garrett Lepire, adding “projects like Senior Christmas Gift Giving, Student of the Week, and Teacher of the Month and other educational projects wouldn’t be possible without the Brewfest.”
Capital City Brewfest organizer Jim Gray says the event is a big undertaking that the club truly enjoys taking on. “Our members have fun working together putting on a fun event that ultimately benefits our community,” he said. “It is rewarding doing something positive for our community, plus we all like the fellowship and working toward a common goal.”
Along with the beer, food and music, the Brewfest also features a raffle with great prizes including beer, wine and golf.
When asked what people can expect this year, Lepire answered “a fun and rousing event where people can try some new beer flavors, and their favorites as well as listening to great music and enjoying great bites to eat from the food trucks.”
Tickets for the Capital City Brewfest are $40 in advance, or $45 at the door and are available at capitalcitybrewfest.com
