Active weekend for Carson City authorities with vandalism discovery, DUI and drug-related arrests

Carson City authorities remained busy over the weekend, making several DUI and drug-related arrests.
Officers responded to cases involving stalking, threats and assault, arrest records from this weekend show. Also, the investigation continues into Sunday's vandalism discovery on the west side of Carson City where several vehicles, a church, school and homes were damaged either by BB gun shots or rocks.

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said that as of Monday morning reports of vandalism were still coming into the sheriff's office. There have been up to about a dozen reports of vandalism done to cars, houses, schools, businesses and a church, he said.

"I cannot believe that while vandalism, we see from time-to-time in our society we know it exists, but to attack a church is just unspeakable to me," the sheriff said.

Meanwhile, Carson City patrol officers stopped a vehicle speeding this weekend and subsequently arrested three occupants on various felony related charges.

According to the arrest report, officers assigned to the Special Enforcement Team were on patrol in the area of Robinson and Carson streets Saturday at around 10:30 p.m.. when they observed a black Honda Accord with California plates traveling northbound on Carson Street. The vehicle was stopped in the parking lot of grocery store. Officers spoke with the driver, and three passengers, identified as Heather Reid, Randy Vanbuskirk and Pamela Woodger.

The driver and Reid gave officers their California driver's licenses when asked. The arresting officer then asked Vanbuskirk and Woodger for their IDs. They both said they didn't any any, the arrest report states.

Officers then asked for the woman's birthday in which she provided a birthday. Vanbuskirk and Woodger also stated they didn't know their Social Security numbers, the report states.

A wants and warrants checks were performed on the information provided.
