SUMMARY:The Printmakers Conspiracy - Artist Reception
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition brings together a dynamic group of artists dedicated to strengthening the printmaking community in Nevada and the surrounding region. Through collaboration\, conversation\, and shared experimentation\, the collective fosters connections among artists of all experience levels. For this exhibition\, members explored monotype printmaking using a gelatin matrix\, a process that balances spontaneity and control while producing richly textured\, one-of-a-kind works\, with many artists incorporating additional media to expand the creative possibilities. Featuring work by Tina Drakulich\, Rebecca Eckland\, Candace Garlock\, Elaine Parks\, Austin Pratt\, Nolan Preece\, Carol-Ann Ricketts\, and Lynn Schmidt\, the exhibition highlights both individual voices and a shared spirit of innovation\, demonstrating how printmaking can build community\, inspire experimentation\, and celebrate the vitality of the medium. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:Edges of Impermanence Artist Reception - FREE
DESCRIPTION:6 –8 PM \n\n\n\nExhibition Dates: February 4th thru April 26th 2026\, Tuesdays thru Sundays 12 to 4pm \n\n\n\nFeaturing the work of Ashley Gottlieb\, Tamara Scronce\, and Rossitza Todorova \n\n\n\nReflecting on the quiet truth that nothing—within us or around us—stays the same. Drawn from observation\, self reflection\, memories\, shifting light\, and slow transformations\, these works consider impermanence not as loss but as a continual unfolding. Mountains rise and erode\, seasons cycle\, water carves its own path; emotions appear\, dissolve\, and return in new forms. By attending to these transitory states\, the work asks how we hold what is fleeting\, and what it means to witness change across both a moment and a lifetime. \n\n\n\nBAC Members are invited to attend at 5pm for a special private viewing. \n\n\n\nBrewery Arts Center; East Building; Exhibition Hall449 W King StCarson City\, NV \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Related

SUMMARY:C5 Presents: The History of Film Animation - Secret of Nimh
DESCRIPTION:6:30 pm – 9:00 pm \n\n\n\n\n\n$5.00Get tickets: https://breweryarts.org/event/20260226-c5-secret-of-nimh/ \n\n\n\nAnimation history is fueled by rebellion\, rivalry\, and artists bold enough to break away from the status quo. The Rise of Rivals dives into the moment when animators defected from the Disney machine\, sparking fierce creative competition and giving rise to sharper humor\, darker themes\, and entirely new icons. As studios and storytellers pushed back against polished fairy tales\, characters like Bugs Bunny emerged—witty\, irreverent\, and defiantly different—forever changing the tone and possibilities of animation. \n\n\n\nWe’ll kick things off with Looney Tunes: A Wild Hare (1940)\, the cartoon that officially introduced Bugs Bunny and defined Warner Bros.’ fast\, anarchic style as a direct counterpoint to Disney’s approach. Then\, experience the haunting artistry of The Secret of NIMH (1982)\, a visually rich and emotionally daring feature created by former Disney animators who set out to prove animation could be complex\, mature\, and uncompromising. \n\n\n\nYou’re in for an electrifying night celebrating the rivalries that reshaped animation—and the artists who dared to challenge the throne. \n\n\n\nBecome an Ally member of the Brewery Arts Center and enjoy all the films we show for FREE!Join Today! https://breweryarts.org/personal-memberships/ \n\n\n\nBrewery Arts Center – West Building – Performance Hall511 W. The series has featured an eclectic mix of punk-gone-folk performers\, underground legends\, and fiercely original voices. \n\n\n\nTickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Seating will open at 6:30 with music beginning at 7pm. Seated show. All ages. Become a member of the Brewery Arts Center and save $5 on your ticket! Join Today!https://breweryarts.org/personal-memberships/ \n\n\n\nWilly Tea Taylor –There is no question that Willy Tea Taylor’s life as a singer/songwriter was predetermined – his role realized the moment he wrote his first song. His inspirations are drawn from two separate wells; Living the life of a cattleman’s kid and experiencing true visionaries music like Greg Brown\, John Hartford\, and Guy Clark. The image of Guy Clark and friends sitting around the kitchen table loaded with ashtrays full of butts\, half-smoked cigarettes\, food\, and booze on one Christmas Eve in 1975 burned into Taylor’s soul. Those guys\, swapping songs without pretense\, lit Willy Tea’s fire. And ever since\, its led purpose with passion – finding a hang by curating relationships through musical friendships that get him closer to his own Clark style kitchen table. \n\n\n\nThe Sam Chase –If one could apply a needle to the flat disc of time and render a sound from its infinite grooves\, the celestial tones of past\, present and future would be the songs of The Sam Chase. It doesn’t matter where they are from\, where they’ve been or where they may yet go. All that matters is where you will be when they show how to make time stand still. \n\n\n\nBrewery Arts Center – West Building – Performance Hall511 W. SUMMARY:Unlock Your Inner Artist with Dana Childs - 4 Week Series on Wednesdays Beginning February 4th 2026
DESCRIPTION:10:00 am – 1:00 pm \n\n\n\n$100.00Get tickets: https://breweryarts.org/event/20260204-inner-artist/ \n\n\n\nCreate your own masterpieces in this open-ended art experience. If you’ve ever dreamed of working on an artistic project—whether it’s painting\, graphite\, pen and ink\, or even incorporating two- and three-dimensional textures or objects into your work of art—this is the workshop for you. This is a series of 4 workshops to give you the time and space to create your vision. \n\n\n\nOver the course of the past nearly 30 years\, Dana Childs has guided\, taught\, and facilitated courses and workshops that have helped produce professional artists as well as encouraged hobbyists to have the time of their lives and enjoy feeling successful. You can free the artist within you with as much or as little influence from outside as you desire. Weekly demonstrations serve to introduce or review basic art and design concepts\, as well as experimental strategies. You can either follow along or continue to work on your own project during the demonstrations. Most of the time will be dedicated to individual time to work on your own projects\, while Childs is there to offer assistance as needed. \n\n\n\nAbout the Artist \n\n\n\n“Variety is the spice of life!” declares the educationally eclectic Childs. She has been driven by an inexhaustible desire to learn\, and then to pass on that which she learns to others. “One of my greatest passions in life is to either keep the flame of our innate love for learning alive\, or to reignite this flame in the hearts of those whose flames have dwindled\, or been completely dowsed\,” says Childs. Whatever the subject matter\, she remains enthusiastic about sharing information & helping others build skills that will serve them and others well. \n\n\n\nWith 20+ years experience teaching watercolor as well as graphite and acrylic mediums\, Childs brings an in-depth understanding of how to connect with her students and pass on skills that empower her students to create to their hearts desire\, with amazing results. “My job\, if I do it well\, is to work myself out of a job\,” she says. \n\n\n\nDo you have questions?
