Carson City sheriff's deputies make felony warrant, misdemeanor DUI arrests
A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for a felony warrant alleging burglary and two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants, a sheriff's office deputy report states.
Joseph Donald Hoover was booked at 12:45 a.m. for the warrants. The burglary warrant was issued August 3, 2020 and the two contempt of court warrants were issued on Sept. 1, 2020. All the warrants are out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $31,500.
In other arrests:
— A 22-year-old Carson City woman, Alibi Marie Smith, was arrested Tuesday for a felony warrant alleging failure to appear in court, issued Nov. 18, 2020 out of Carson City and for suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. She's being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 23-year-old woman was arrested Monday, Nov. 30 for suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a traffic lane, a sheriff's deputy report states.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Maple Creek Lane regarding a vehicle crash. Deputies met with a subject who identified herself and who was the driver and sole occupant. The arrest report states the woman was traveling north on Maple Creek Lane when she crashed into a parked vehicle.
While speaking with the woman, the officer observed her eyes were red and watery and she slurred her speech when she spoke. The officer asked her how much alcohol she had been drinking. The woman replied "one drink" the arrest report states.
She denied injuries from the crash and declined medical attention. She agreed to participate in field sobriety tests and submitted a preliminary breath test. She was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. She agreed to an evidentiary blood test. Bail amount listed: $1,361.
