Carson City Cheer Teams ask for community donations to take part in National competitions
Two Carson City Cheer Teams will be participating in national cheer competitions, and need community support in order to compete.
The two capital city teams are the Carson Senators JV Cheer Squad and the Carson City Pop Warner PeeWee Senators cheer team.
The Carson Senators JV Cheer Squad have conquered both their local and regional competitions, and have set their sights on the JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas.
"This is a monumental time for the team, as this is the last year of youth sports for many of the girls and maybe even the last opportunity for some of them to cheer," said GoFundMe Organizer Thomas Martin.
All funds raised will go to covering the costs of travel, lodging and expenses for all 18 Senator girls while competing in Las Vegas.
"The fundraiser supports the costs for all 18 girls to attend and compete at the highest level and have the experience of a lifetime," said Martin.
The PeeWee Senator Cheer Team won first place in both local and regional competitions, and are also heading to JAMZ in Las Vegas to compete in Nationals.
"These girls have worked tirelessly to achieve these spots," said Lindsay Thompson, PeeWee GoFundMe organizer. "All donations go straight to these girls. We love this community and hope you can help us achieve our donation goal!"
