Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City hosts 'A Comstock Christmas Carol' this holiday season

The historic Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City, Nevada, hosts “A Comstock Christmas Carol” this holiday season. The classic story with a Comstock twist is set to be performed by the Piper’s Players with performances in December.

The family-friendly play features the story of the Christmas Carol and is set to the fun and light-hearted music of the Muppets Christmas Carol.

The classic Christmas tale is one for the whole family with music and dancing to entertain all ages. Shows take place Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children ages 4-12. Purchase online here.

Piper’s Players is a non-profit, free community theater group that call Piper’s Opera House home. The group provides acting opportunities for the rural and local communities around Virginia City, Nevada.

Piper’s Opera House, located in the historic district of Virginia City, Nev., is a living legend serving as a critical performing arts center for the region. It is listed in the League of Historic Theaters and is known for having attracted famous stars from all over the world during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
