Carson City arrests: Man with protection order for stalking found hiding in victim’s home

A 32-year-old Genoa man was arrested Wednesday, 2:45 a.m. at an Industrial Park Drive residence for gross misdemeanor suspicion of violation of a temporary protection court order, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

According to the arrest report, the victim met with a deputy regarding a temporary protection order she had on the suspect for stalking and harassment. He was served the order on Sept. 9. She told the deputy the man had been attempting phone contact with her through a private or blocked telephone number and then hanging up upon answering.

She told the deputy she went to her home earlier and noticed the front room window blinds were rolled down. The victim said she became scared and left the location. The victim called the man on the phone and he answered and apologized.

The victim told the man to stay away or she would call the police. She then went to a casino, where he walked up to her and asked why she wouldn’t talk with him. The woman told the man to stay away from her and then left the location.

At around 2:45 a.m. deputies went to the victim’s home, where the man was found hiding in a bedroom closet. He was taken into custody for violating the court order. Bail: $3,137.

In other arrests:
— A 20-year-old woman, Alana Blakemore, was arrested Tuesday, 6:20 a.m. in the area of East Long and North Saliman for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the arrest report, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not come to a complete stop at four-way intersection. The driver of the Jeep came to a stop on North Saliman and then ran from the vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate the man.

The Jeep was registered to the woman. She was asked for consent to search and why the man had run. She provided consent. Deputies located a “tooter” straw, which is commonly used to inhale narcotics, and in the center console located tin foil with brown residue shaped in a Z pattern and a pea size amount of a substance, believed to be heroin.

The woman was mirandized and agreed to speak, and said the man who fled was her drug dealer. She was arrested and taken to jail. During intake she informed a deputy she had ingested an “8 ball” of methamphetamine en route to jail. The arresting officer did not witness any movements in the patrol vehicle that would indicate she had ingested drugs. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Bail: $3,637.

— A 48-year-old woman, Pamela Denise Warner, listed as a transient, was arrested Wednesday, 1:29 a.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street for two felony warrants alleging theft and grand larceny. The warrants were issued Sept. 7, 2018 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $7,500.

— A Carson City woman was arrested early Wednesday morning in the area of Proctor and Division streets for gross misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, second within 7 years, a sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area for a report of an intoxicated woman near a vehicle who was vomiting. A deputy arrived and located the vehicle and the woman driving it in the area of Proctor and Nevada and made a traffic stop.

The woman smelled strongly of alcohol and vomit, the arrest report states. She told the deputy she had two beers at a bar and would perform field sobriety tests. She performed all FSTs unsatisfactorily and gave a partial preliminary breath test of .150, the arrest report states. She was taken to jail and a blood draw was given for evidence. She showed a prior DUI conviction in Carson City in 2014. Bail: $2,500.

— A 49-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday, 3:37 p.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant issued March 23, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,710.
