Watch it Live: Carson City School Board meeting at 6 p.m.
Tonight beginning at 6 p.m., the Carson City School Board will be voting on the re-opening plans for all schools in the Carson City School District, which is slated to open on a proposed hybrid schedule. Families are also given the option of 100 percent distance learning, but there is no option at this time for 100 percent in school learning, except for certain special education students.

Additionally, the Board will also be voting on whether or not Kindergarten will be able to begin full time in school.
The hybrid schedule would have all students broken into two groups. Both groups would stay home on Mondays for distance learning, and group one would be in school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at home on Wednesdays and Fridays, while group two would be the opposite.
The plan will be finalized tonight and voted on, and will remain for at least one full semester.
