Nevada unemployment rate down statewide, up slightly in Carson City, Reno and Vegas
Seasonally adjusted estimates account for regularly seen economic patterns, with the following estimates not seasonally adjusted.
In the three Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), there were slight increases in the June unemployment rates. In the Carson City area unemployment was 3.7 percent. In May it was 3.2 percent. In June, unemployment in the Reno area was 3.3 percent, In May it was 2.9 percent. Unemployment in the Las Vegas area for the month of June was 5.7 percent. In May it was 5.2 percent.
In Nevada’s counties, the lowest unemployment rate was in White Pine County at 2.9 percent, and Clark County had the highest rate at 5.7 percent. For a look at the unemployment rate in your county, see DETR's Area Profiles Page here.
