Carson City arrests: Video shows suspect pointing gun, threatens to shoot victim
A 25-year-old woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a witness provided deputies video of the woman allegedly pointing a handgun at the victim, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Caylan Harden was taken into custody at 3:49 p.m. following an investigation. According to the booking report, deputies responded to 20 College Parkway for a report of a subject pointing a gun at another subject.
Deputies arrived and spoke with the victim, and witnesses, one of whom had video footage of the incident, which clearly showed the suspect arguing and holding a black hand gun at the victim and pointing it at his head, the report states.
The victim is heard telling the suspect, "what are you gonna do? Shoot me then. Shoot me then," the arrest report states. The video showed the suspect get within arms distance of the victim, pointing it directly at his head and then pulling the trigger. There was an audible click, the report states.
A deputy spoke with the suspect who stated, as she was crying, "I did it," the report states. The deputy asked the woman "what did you do?" The woman responded by admitting to aiming a firearm directly at the victim, stating she was going to kill him. Bail: $20,000.

A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon and being in violation of state probation.
Robert Beltran was taken into custody at 11:46 p.m. at a Tuolumne Way residence. According to the booking report, deputies responded to the area and learned the suspect had earlier been kicked out of the residence and returned making forcible entry.
Deputies arrived and met with the residents, who gave officers permission to enter. Officers called out to the suspect numerous times, identifying themselves as law enforcement and directing him to exit the residence unarmed.
The decision was made to enter the trailer, where Beltran was located in a bedroom. He was mostly unresponsive to commands. Officers observed a small hammer in his pocket. On his belt was a small nylon knife sheath but did not have a knife. A knife that fit the sheath was found in the living room near the door, which had been kicked in.
The man smelled strongly of alcohol and later provided a preliminary breath test of .250. Officers learned he is on probation through the Department of Parole and Probation, and learned he was in violation of conditions.
Officers met with residents of the home and learned Beltran, who was not allowed inside, was banging on the door and then entered the home and fought with one of the residents, who used a weightlifting bar to defend himself.
The male victim stated he was hit twice by Beltran. The fight then moved into the street. When a deputy arrived, Beltran then went inside the home. Bail: $30,000 for the battery with a deadly weapon offense. No bail hold for the state probation violation offense.
— A 23-year-old Carson City resident, Jose Osvaldo Romero-Ramirez, was arrested July 24, 2:46 a.m. for suspicion of burglary of a residence.
According to the booking report, deputies responded to the 1800 block of North Edmonds for a report of a subject attempting to enter a residence.
Officers learned the suspect had armed himself with rocks and was an ex-boyfriend of the victim. The suspect was banging on the door of the residence, saying he needed a place to stay. He then grabbed a fire extinguisher and gained entry into the apartment.
Deputies arrived and observed a dry chemical discharge from a fire extinguisher around the apartment. The suspect was armed with the fire extinguisher and was given instruction to drop it. He complied, provided a preliminary breath test of .302, and was arrested and taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital for medical clearance. Bail: $20,000.
