Carson City arrests: Pair booked for drug trafficking, 154 grams of meth found in truck
Two were arrested Friday for alleged drug trafficking and possession of narcotics for sale, as well as lesser offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Arrested for the alleged offenses were were Enrique Carlos Medina, 50, of San Francisco and Chyenne Dakota Bailey Martinez, 32, of Sun Valley. Both were also booked for possession of drug paraphernalia. Medina was also booked for misdemeanor offenses license plate lamp violation, wrongful possession/altered identification and petit larceny.
During the investigation, in which deputies were investigating a larceny at Walmart where the couple allegedly fled in a pickup, officers conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle the two were in discovered 154 grams of methamphetamine, as well as multiple Tadalafil and Sildenafil prescription medications without the prescription bottle, scales and packaging in the center console of the back seat.
Found among the stolen items from from Walmart was an air fryer and pots and pans. Bail for Martinez: $36,137; bail for Medina: $36,914.
In other arrests:
— A 58-year-old man was arrested Friday for suspicion of felony burglary and misdemeanor possession of stolen property, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
David McCormick was booked for the alleged crimes following an investigation. According to the booking report deputies were notified of stolen property located in an apartment during an eviction lock-out.
During the investigation, deputies were alerted to a Yamaha keyboard inside the residence that was not his but belonging to another male. At the time of the stolen property investigation, McCormick was at Carson City Jail where he was in custody for other charges. Bail: $26,000.
— A 50-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Friday for suspicion of disorderly conduct. The man was intoxicated and refused to leave a grocery store in the 500 block of East William Street. Bail: $242.
— A 26-year-old Dayton man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of DUI and no rear lights. He agreed to evidentiary testing with breath sample results of .256 and .259. Bail: $1,234.
— A 49-year-old Carson City woman, Jennifer Maul, was arrested for a felony outside agency warrant out of Clackamas County, Oregon, misdemeanor fictitious registration, no valid driver's license and no proof of insurance. Bail: $50,000 for the warrant.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
According to the booking report, the man allegedly threw a mattress, hitting the victim on the head, grabbing her and spitting in her face. When questioned, the man admitted to spitting on the victim's face and but was unclear about the incident with the bed mattress. Bail: $3,137.
