The Carson City Classic Cinema Club gets an extra-special visitor at tonight’s film viewing; STRAZZ, the Carson City Symphony’s Youth String Orchestra will be performing before ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ lights up the screen. CARSON CITY — The Nevada State Railroad Museum’s historic McKeen Motor Car — built for service on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad in 1910 — will be making its first runs of 2018 this weekend, May 5-6.

The CHS Chamber Orchestra, directed by Dr. Brian Fox, is back from its spring trip to the Bay Area. The Chamber Orchestra competed in the Forum Music Festival at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, earning a gold rating from the adjudicators; the top rating.

A 28 year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Saturday morning at 4:20 a.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor first offense domestic battery after kicking and striking a male companion with her shoes, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
