Nevada State Railroad Museum kicks off Memorial Day weekend in Carson City
The Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City kicked-off Memorial Day weekend with all-day steam train rides.
Attendees were allowed to take a trip around the museum in the iconic V&T Locomotive No. 25. The narrow-gauge Glenbrook — built in 1874 — was under steam and on display, as well.
Grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, along with countless trips inside the museum gift shop made for an action-filled event for the dozens in attendance.
The Nevada State Railroad Museum is located at 2180 S. Carson St. The event will continue through Monday, May 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Train rides will begin at 10:00 a.m.
