Research company says Nevada ranks 6th worst in nation for robocalls
While today's smart phones are sometimes able to identify so called robo callers, sometimes they don't and sometimes you'll hear a voice on the other end pitching everything from extended auto warranties to public policy measures.
Trends research company WhistleOut crunched the numbers recently and found Nevada to be the 6th worst state for robocalls in 2020.
Check out the full report here. In Nevada, the research outfit found residents were estimated to have been robocalled more than 525 million times in the 2020 fiscal year.
Among the other states with the most robocalls were Arizona, Maine, Virginia, Delaware, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey and Ohio.
More interesting findings:
— More than 45 Billion robocalls were estimated to have been placed in the US in 2020
— The average American received around 12 robocalls per month in 2020
— Eastern coastal states and Western states topped the “most bothered” by robocalls rankings this year
In order to calculate its robocall ranking, WhistleOut says it analyzed data from “Do Not Call” complaints registered by the Federal Trade Commission, and the estimated number of Robocalls made per capita around the country.
