Carson City was represented Saturday by the Carson High School Blue Thunder Marching Band during the Chinese New Year Parade held in San Francisco. Led by director Bill Zabelsky, it was the third year Blue Thunder participated in the parade.
More than 100 music, cultural, art and other organizations from throughout the region participated in Saturday's festivities. Last year, the Blue Thunder placed first in the high school band division.
We will post parade results once they become available.
