Carson City man arrested on felony warrant during search for Bank Robber
A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of E. William Street on a Felony Priority 5 Warrant while deputies searched for a suspect in a bank robbery.
According to the arrest report, Christopher Kimble, Jr. was shopping at Smith’s Market when he was arrested during the search.
Around 9:15 a.m., a robbery report was issued at the Plumas Bank on N. Carson Street, and deputies were searching the area for the suspect who fled on foot.
According to the arresting officer, who is a School Resource Officer at Carson High School, he left the school to assist with the search, and was advised a man matching the description of a black male, possibly 5’7” and wearing all dark clothing was seen at the grocery store.
Deputies located Kimble and ran his information through dispatch. They advised Kimble had a Parole and Probation Priority 5 warrant.
Kimble was taken into custody. It was determined at the jail that he was not the robbery suspect. As of noon Friday, there has been no new information released regarding the robbery suspect.

— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a contempt of court warrant.
Deputies were dispatched to a grocery store on E. William Street on report of a suspicious vehicle. According to the report, the caller stated a male was in a van yelling at himself.
Deputies located the van, and the 24-year-old man who was sitting in the driver’s seat with the door wide open. The man identified himself, and dispatch advised he had a confirmed warrant from NHP for contempt of court, issued out of New River Township Justice Court.
While the man was being taken into custody, deputies located a clear glass methamphetamine pipe in his pocket.
