UPDATE: At 10:45 a.m. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 800 block of Mica Dr. in the Indian Hills neighborhood, for a report of a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found a male victim with multiple stab wounds to his torso.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be visiting Carson City and Gardnerville this week, providing oral healthcare and exams for local children, teens and young adults.

This Sunday, Nov. 20, Wylder Resort Hope Valley continues its Eastern Sierra history series with a 50-minute slide show program, Tragedy at St. Francis Dam-The Worst Manmade Disaster in California History.

As part of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest’s hazardous fuels reduction efforts, both Carson and Bridgeport Ranger Districts’ fire crews will conduct pile burning beginning in November through May, weather and fuel conditions permitting.

MINDEN — Douglas County and the State of Nevada are hosting an educational event to inform citizens on flood preparation and safety during Flood Awareness Week, Nov. 13-19, 2022.
