UNR Police consider expansion to WNC, discussion at Jan. 17 Board of Supervisors meeting
A discussion to bring the University of Nevada, Reno Police Department to the Carson City branch of Western Nevada College will be held at the special joint meeting of the Carson City School District Board of Trustees and the Carson City Board of Supervisors on Thursday, Jan 17.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street.
Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong will be presenting the discussion on the partnership between the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and the University of Nevada, Reno Police Department.
Other items for discussion at the meeting will include:
The partnership between the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada and the Carson City School District for the use of the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center Facility (MAC).
The Work-Based Learning Program in the Carson City School District.
The Joint Efforts of the Carson City School District and the Carson City Local Emergency Planning Committee.
