DESCRIPTION:Kids ages 8-14: Join Skiing is Believing at Western Nevada college for our multidisciplinary sport & fitness camp! Every day of every week\, Skiing is Believing staff will help provide a variety of sports for kids to develop their physical skills and promote emotional development through exercise and community service. \n\n\n\nEach week will include a combination of mountain biking\, hiking\, martial arts\, community services & education\, softball/baseball\, archery\, general fitness\, flag football\, inline skating and more! All sports are taught by sport-specific SIB staff and coaches. Kids in camp will go home tired after full days of truly enriching physical activity and social emotional learning. See you this summer! \n\n\n\nSkiing is Believing will be held fully on campus at Western Nevada College’s Carson City location. Students will have a “home base” where they can drop their things\, and be led by camp staff to various locations on campus including the baseball fields and bike trails. Specific drop-off and pick-up instructions\, along with a list of what to pack each day\, will be sent to parents a few weeks prior to the start of the program. Drop off and pick up will be closely monitored with a daily “code word” to ensure children are picked up only by designated caregivers. \n\n\n\nWestern Nevada College has partnered with Skiing is Believing\, experts in children’s sports camps\, to bring their well-known summer sports camps to Carson City. Camp Director Meghan Ochs is the founder and executive director of Skiing is Beliving\, and is certified to coach crossfit\, weightlifting\, skiing\, and snowboarding. She leads a team of highly-qualified program coaches with extensive experience\, and has been running day camps since 2018. \n\n\n\nThe focus of these camps is individualized attention and true coaching with small student-to-staff ratios. DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Fireman’s Ball in Silver City NV hosted by the Silver City Volunteer Fire Department is a legendary music festival and family fun event that dates back to the 1970’s. This free admission fundraising event features great music\, food\, drinks\, collectable merchandise\, kids fun and much more.  \n\n\n\nThis year’s Ball will fill the Silver City park for an entire afternoon and evening with live music and entertainment. The lineup includes Reno-based indie bands Next Question and Charity Kiss. Other acts include Wabuska Yachting Club\, Darren Senn\, Mylo and headliner MATT AXTON. \n\n\n\nJoin us Saturday July 18. The event starts at 1pm and will go well into the evening. Silver City is located 3 miles south of Virginia City off SR 341 and the park is located at 385 High Street.
