Bette was the owner of Timbers Saloon for almost thirty years before her passing in 2021. She hosted golf tournaments for most of those years\, donating to various charitable causes\, and for the last several years she provided these scholarships to our local students with 100% of the proceeds going to the students. For the last three years our golf tournaments have been a huge success\, raising enough money to provide 24-$1000 scholarships in the last three years! We hope these scholarships will be a meaningful steppingstone for our students\, through hard work\, to enter trades that benefit our community. DESCRIPTION:2nd annual golf tournament to raise funds to support the children and youth activities in our community. There will be a $10\,000 hole-in-one prize\, entrants can participate in silent auctions\, raffle prize drawings. Shotgun start at 10 a.m. \n\n\n\nThrough this fund raising event\, the Dayton Kiwanis club is able to support or contribute to various children and youth activities and to contribute to the Kiwanis House and to the pediatric trama program.  \n\n\n\nKiwanis clubs are not-for-profit organizations with focus on giving back to our communities\, especially to children and youth. All proceeds go back into our community.
