SUMMARY:Flannel & Frost: Night Off the Streets Plans Fundraiser on January 23rd
DESCRIPTION:Night Off the Streets (NOTS) invites the community to join its fourth annual Flannel and Frost Fundraiser on Friday\, January 23\, at the Governor’s Mansion. Doors open at 5 pm. \n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased for $85.00 by calling 775-720-2472 or 775-600-2215. The ticket cost includes a prime rib meal and dessert catered by Coco N Moes. The bar is hosted by the Carson City Elks Lodge #2177. Live music will be performed by Catfish Carl.  \n\n\n\nParticipants are encouraged to wear their best flannel fashions and to participate in raffles and an auction. \n\n\n\nThe funds raised during the event will help support the Night Off the Streets warming center and will add to funds designated for obtaining a permanent warming center. Now\, the warming center is hosted by one Carson City church each month during the coldest months\, November through March. \n\n\n\n“Night Off the Streets would not exist without the community’s support\,” says Jodi Miller\, NOTS manager. More than 100 people volunteer during the Winter season at the shelter. People also donate food and clothing as well as their money. \n\n\n\n“Every penny raised helps us get closer to our goal of opening a year-round center for our unhoused neighbors\,” says Deacon Craig LaGier\, founder and director of NOTS. \n\n\n\nThe NOTS warming center was founded eight years ago after four homeless people died of hypothermia while sleeping outdoors.

DESCRIPTION:Youth Theatre Carson City is thrilled to announce our upcoming production of Disney’s Frozen\, Jr.\, playing eight performances weekends January 16-25\, 2026 in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center.   \n\n\n\nDisney’s Frozen\, Jr.\, based on the enchanting animated feature and subsequent Broadway musical\, brings Elsa\, Anna and the magical land of Arendelle to life onstage.  A story of true love and acceptance between sisters\, Frozen Jr. features all of the memorable songs from the film\, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez\, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.  When faced with danger Princesses Anna and Elsa discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood.  \n\n\n\nDisney’s Frozen\, Jr. features the talents of nearly 100 local youth grades K-12\, both onstage and off.  Leading a large ensemble of colorful Disney characters are Paige Cardoza and Michelle Cho as Princess Anna; Jacqueline Parkhurst and Maika Adkins as Queen Elsa; Jude Larsen and Nygel Toreson as the loveable Kristoff; Logan Thorley and Zachary Etter as his reindeer sidekick\, Sven; Landon Giron as the charming Prince Hans; and Pema Farnsworth-Hare and Jasper Chang as everyone’s favorite snowman\, Olaf.  \n\n\n\n“I am so proud of all of the hard work these incredible young people have put into bringing this production to the stage\,” commented Andie Wilkerson\, Artistic Director of Youth Theatre Carson City and Director of Disney’s Frozen\, Jr.“Each and every cast member\, whether they are seasoned veteran performers or brand new to the theatre\, shines on the stage.  I cannot wait to share their incredible performances with our audiences.  We are truly blessed to have such wonderful young people in our community.” \n\n\n\nPerformances of Disney’s Frozen\, Jr. will run Fridays and Saturdays January 16\, 17\, 23\, 24 at 7pmand Saturdays and Sundays January 17\, 18\, 24\, 25 at 2pm in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center located at 851 E.
