This is a series of 4 workshops to give you the time and space to create your vision. \n\n\n\nOver the course of the past nearly 30 years\, Dana Childs has guided\, taught\, and facilitated courses and workshops that have helped produce professional artists as well as encouraged hobbyists to have the time of their lives and enjoy feeling successful. You can free the artist within you with as much or as little influence from outside as you desire. Weekly demonstrations serve to introduce or review basic art and design concepts\, as well as experimental strategies. Carson Streetin the Carson Nugget. Admission is free; requested donation is $10 per person for the musicians. \n\n\n\nCool Jazz in January features the 17-member band playing old favorites and new swinging\, big-band selections\, including “Moonlight in Vermont\,” “Evergreen\,” “Skylark\,” and more. Jakki Ford will sing “It was a Very Good Year\,” “Cheek to Cheek\,” and other great tunes accompanied by the band. \n\n\n\nDavid Bugli\, pianist and leader of the Mile High Jazz band\, said\, “We’re starting the new year with an exciting jazz program at Gina’s with great performers and music arrangements.” \n\n\n\nMile High Jazz Band performances and educational activities are supported in part by grants from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts\, Carson City\, Music Performance Trust Fund\, and by memberships and donations.
