Types of Conifers Hike at Brockway with SPF

Join the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) and the Sugar Pine Foundation (SPF) for a guided hike from Brockway Summit to Picnic Rock near Martis Peak, where you’ll learn how to identify sugar pines, Jeffrey pines, and other native trees of the Tahoe area. During this hike and interactive presentation, discover how SPF is working to create healthier forests for future generations. Learn about our ongoing efforts to restore sugar pine populations by planting seedlings grown from blister rust-resistant seed trees. Come explore the woods with us, enjoy beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and deepen your understanding of forest ecology, conservation, and the unique beauty of Tahoe’s forests! Cost: $10.00
