Tahoe Symphony Presents: “Verdi: Requiem”
March 14 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

The Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presents a carefully curated program drawn from Giuseppe Verdi’s monumental Requiem, one of the most dramatic and emotionally charged works in the choral orchestral repertoire.
This presentation features standout movements ranging from the thunderous Dies irae to the luminous and transcendent Libera me, showcasing Verdi’s unmatched ability to blend operatic intensity with sacred depth. An exceptional roster of guest soloists joins orchestra and chorus to bring the full emotional range of the work to life.
Curated by Artistic Director Candidate Finalist Hannah Von Wiehler, this program offers a thoughtfully shaped musical journey designed to engage seasoned classical audiences while remaining accessible and compelling for first time concertgoers. The result is a powerful exploration of drama, reflection, and beauty at the heart of Verdi’s vision.
The Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus continues its mission to present high quality, affordable classical performances to the greater Reno Tahoe region. Now celebrating its 21st season, TOCCATA features approximately 160 local and guest artists each year, performing in the unique and inspiring mountain setting of Northern Nevada.
