SNAFU Con 2025 Makes a Splash at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center

Event Series (See All)

October 31 @ 10:00 am 11:30 pm

Make a splash, Reno—anime is taking over the city once again! SNAFU Con 2025 returns to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center (4590 South Virginia Street) from October 31 to November 2, 2025, for an unforgettable three-day weekend packed with cosplay, panels, concerts, gaming, and more.
This year’s guest lineup features a dynamic mix of talent from across the anime, gaming, and creative industries, including Christopher Escalante (voice actor and YouTube personality known for his work with Aphmau and The Dungeon of Black Company), Bonnie Gordon (Star Trek: Prodigy, Fire Emblem, Street Fighter V), and Steve “Warky” Nunez (CEO of Ascendent Animation). Also appearing are Laura K. Welsh (Genshin Impact, Fantasian Neo Dimensiondo), Kevin Frane (author of The Seventh Chakra), Gavin Black (author and fantasy storyteller), and Spencer Stoner (creator of The Aegis series). Attendees can also meet Shane Tay (voice actor and QA at Ascendent Animation), Steven Yu (comic book illustrator and creator of Joan), and Jade Griffin (author-illustrator of The Journals of Lacy Anderson Moore series and creator of Call of Cthulhu TTRPG modules). Local musical artist Angel Rose (“Mask” ft. Enignama) rounds out the guest list.
The convention will feature a full weekend of activities, including the annual cosplay contest, continuous anime screenings, and tabletop gaming. Attendees can enjoy a variety of fan and industry panels, concerts by Bonnie Gordon and Angel Rose, and a live performance by local K-pop/J-pop dance crew Luminescent ~ Inspire. A selection of vintage gaming consoles will also be available all weekend for attendees to enjoy. Fans of Angel Rose won’t want to miss her music video launch party on Friday night. On Saturday, the excitement continues with an all-ages rave featuring DJ V[AI]RUS (Texas), DJ Aves (Virginia), and Reno’s own DJ Japhet.
The weekend concludes with one of SNAFU Con’s most anticipated traditions—the Sunday Charity Auction, which supports the Special Needs CommUNITY of Northern Nevada. 100% of proceeds go directly to the organization, helping provide programs, resources, and events for individuals with special needs and their families.
Throughout the event, fans can explore the Vendors Room and Artist Alley, filled with unique art, collectibles, and merchandise. Convention hours are 10 a.m.–11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday. Weekend passes are $60, with single-day passes available for $30.
