This brilliant comedy-drama revolves around three Jewish women who meet once a month for tea before going to the cemetery to pay respects to their long-lost husbands. The group consists of all the classic personalities of real life: Ida is sweet and innocent, Lucille is fun loving and feisty, while Doris is the more reserved and prudish of the friends. Despite their differences, they are a tight-knit extended family for each other, and the monthly ritual of tea and the visit to the cemetery is a central point of their lives. The routine is turned upside down one day; however, when they meet Sam the butcher at the cemetery who is paying respects to his deceased wife. Sam hits it off with one of them, and a budding romance puts not only their monthly routine but their very friendship at risk This prompts the other two to take action, creating side-splitting shenanigans to thwart the new love affair…
