Join local author Cassidy Carson at Bub’s Bookstore on October 31, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00pm to celebrate her newest release, “Battle Born Bride,” which is set in Carson City during Nevada’s transition from territory to statehood. The story follows Sarah Avery as she struggles to adjust to the unfamiliar new surroundings of the frontier west after being forced to flee her home in Kansas. A perfect Nevada Day read!
Cassidy Carson is a Carson City, Nevada–based independent writer, publisher, and podcaster. With her husband and fellow author JT Hume, she co-founded Two Moore Books, LLC, and the duo also co-hosts two writing-related podcasts: the award-winning “CC & JT Amateur Hour” and “The Nevada Author Network,” which is a collaboration with the Sierra Arts Foundation that highlights members of the Sierra Arts Literary Community. Cassidy describes herself as a retired archivist who enjoys writing romance with a touch of history.
