Frances Humphrey Lecture on January 23rd spotlights Bowers Mansion at the Nevada State Museum

Bowers Mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 31st, 1976, and was raised to National Significance in 2014. Today, the mansion is one of the most visited historic parks and homes in Northern Nevada. Bowers Mansion Curator Tammy Buzick will present the history of this Nevada landmark and give insight into what it takes to manage such an historic recreational destination for Washoe County. Buzick has served as the Curator of Bowers Mansion for the past 14 years. She’s also been a historical researcher for over 40 years. This lecture will be presented in person. Admission is $10 for adults, members and children ages 17 and under are free.
