Chowder for Charity: Friday October 3rd 2025

The 5th annual “Chowder for Charity” fundraiser on behalf of F.I.S.H. will again be sponsored by Tee Jay’s Corner Cafe inside Cactus Jack’s Casino, 420 North Carson Street in Carson City, on Friday October 3rd, all day during the Cafe’s regular hours 10am-8pm.
The New England Clam Chowder is “free” with a donation. The Cafe suggests $20 minimum donation, per 12oz bowl of chowder. The Chowder is a traditional recipe, found in the novel Moby Dick, and is well known and beloved by Chowder enthusiasts around Carson City and beyond.
The Chowder for Charity event is 100% donation to FISH, the cafe donates even the cost of the chowder to maximize donations to FISH. The chowder event also marks the beginning of “chowder season” at Tee Jay’s Corner Cafe.
