Carson Valley Art Studio Tour

We are putting on a show and not just the fall colors. Plan a Fall getaway weekend in the beautiful Carson Valley, full of Music and ART!

The Carson Valley Arts Council announced its 5th Annual Carson Valley Art Studio Tour. Bring family and friends for this free, drive yourself tour of 18 studios with 25 artists on Saturday, October 11 – 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, October 12 – 10 am to 3 pm. Spend a day or two exploring creativity and unique local art. Artists are donating their own art for a raffle during the two days. The more studios you visit, the more chances you get to win ART. Meet the artists, see their art and learn about their creative process. All artists will have their work for sale. The 2025 Tour includes the studios and artwork of artists Teri Sweeney, western watercolor; Pietro Accardi, marbled paper and fabric; Roger Kinnaman, pastels, oils & sculpture; Lee Lewis, Watercolor, Silk Painting & Jewelry; Tina Forkner, Watercolor; Bob Fairbank, bronze sculptures; PK Klein, multiple media – watercolor, acrylic, monotype and copperplate prints, silversmithing, beaded jewelry; Margie Leslie, Watercolor Scratchboard; Pam Brekas, Jewelry: Titanium mesh, bullet, coin, glace & some mixed media art; Liza Obukhovskaya, Ceramic, felted paintings & ornaments; Lisa Daggett and Jim Daggett, Custom Jewelry – Sterling Silver & Gemstones: Michelle Mulligan, pottery; Melanie Walters, watercolor; Irene Taylor, Watercolor, Batik and Watercolor; Mark Harris, oil landscapes; Teri Dickerson, Silver smithing jewelry; Alanna McDaniel, Mixed Media Paintings; Knit Hats; Constance Peters, Photography, scarves; Carol Kennedy, Porcelain/Kiln Fired Items; Oil Painting; Leah Andrews, Oils Landscape Realism; Anne Mitchell, Multi Media; Deb Lockett, Photography; Cyndy Kelso, Acrylic, Watercolor, Gouache, Ceramics; Kristy Dial, Gourds; Mary Purdy Gmuender, Impressionist oil paintings and Mark Thomkins, watercolor. The website will also includes a schedule of special demonstrations and music features. Visit studios or galleries to become eligible to win free art. The Carson Valley Arts Council is not only sponsoring the 5th Annual Tour, but also the first concert of their new 2025-26 season. Kick off your weekend on Friday, Oct. 10 with Tom Rigney and Flambeau who specialize in blazing Cajun and Zydeco two-steps, low-down Blues, funky New Orleans grooves, Boogie Woogie piano, and Roots Rock and Roll.  Much of the repertoire is original music written by Rigney, but they mix in some classics from the Cajun/New Orleans songbook.
