Carson City’s 4th Annual Move With The Mayor

The Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department, as part of the Move with the Mayor initiative, is hosting the 4th annual volunteer clean-up day at Lone Mountain Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Bring your organization, families, and friends to volunteer.
Volunteers will focus on weed removal around headstones and markers. This event will require volunteers to stoop, kneel, and lift piles of weeds and debris, and utilize basic hand tools such as rakes and hula hoe weeders. Tools, gloves, coffee, and additional water will be provided. Volunteers should wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, bring sunscreen, and water bottles. If you are part of a group, wear your organization’s swag with pride!
Please note that dogs are not permitted at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Parking is available along Beverly Drive or at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive, Carson City, NV 89706.
