An Afternoon of Chamber Music, Conversation, and Refreshments

The Carson City Symphony Association presents a summer house recital, an afternoon of chamber music in an elegant setting. Enjoy conversation, wine, and hors d’oeuvres on Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at a private home, 2662 Danielle Drive in Carson City.

The recital will entertain music lovers with a varied program of musical treats by Sterling Forrester, W.A. Mozart, John Dowland, Ernest Chausson, and John Rutter. Performers are Matt Means and Kat MacMartin on violin; Brian Fox on viola; Sally Browne on cello; Evan Stern on cello, bass, and lute; Allison Smith on flute; and Andrea Lenz and Julie Holloman, on piano.

Brian Fox leader and coordinator of the house recital, is Assistant Conductor and Concertmaster of the Carson City Symphony and Director of Orchestras for the Carson City School District. He also performs with TOCCATA Tahoe Symphony, the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, and in chamber music groups, and holds a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature. Dr. Fox enjoys presenting annual recitals and benefit concerts in northern Nevada.

The July 26 recital is a benefit for Carson City Symphony’s music performances and educational programs. Tickets are $40 and are available online at CCSymphony.com. Space is limited.

The concert will also be performed on Friday, July 24, 2026, 7:00 p.m. at Aria School of Music and Art in Reno as a benefit for Aria School of Music and Art.
