We are pleased to introduce Jim, a longtime Douglas County resident and dedicated leader in Nevada Republican politics.
Jim moved to Douglas County, Nevada, from Mammoth Lakes, California, in 2001. He and his wife, Theresa, have been married for 40 years and make their home in Gardnerville. Together, they have owned Summit Partners Insurance, an independent insurance brokerage in Minden, for more than 20 years.
Jim retired in 2022 after spending 20 years serving as a firefighter/EMT with Mono County Fire/Rescue in California. His commitment to serving others has continued through his extensive involvement in Nevada politics.
Jim became active in Nevada politics in 2007, working at both the county and state levels. During election cycles, he has worked on behalf of numerous Republican candidates throughout Nevada, walking precincts, assisting with fundraising, and organizing campaign events.
In late 2009, Jim asked the Nevada Republican Party to establish a Legislative Committee. During 2010, he worked to keep Nevada Republicans informed about federal legislation, particularly the issue of universal healthcare. Since then, he has remained deeply involved in legislative and political issues at both the state and federal levels.
