35-Hour Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training (Hybrid + CEU’s)

Join Yoga Your Way LLC this Fall 2026 for Northern Nevada’s leading 35-Hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training — now offered in a new hybrid learning format designed to make this work more accessible, flexible, and impactful than ever before.
This training combines self-paced online learning modules with two in-person training days on November 14 & 21, 2026 at The Yoga Center Reno, allowing students to learn foundational concepts at their own pace while coming together in community to practice, apply, and integrate the material in real time.
Designed for yoga teachers, mental and behavioral health professionals, educators, peer support specialists, social workers, caregivers, community leaders, and anyone interested in creating safer and more supportive spaces, this training explores how trauma impacts the mind and body — and how yoga, mindfulness, language, and intentional facilitation can support nervous system regulation, empowerment, and connection. No prior yoga teaching experience is required.
Throughout the training, students will explore:
• Trauma brain theory
• Types of trauma and stress responses
• Safe and accessible teaching approaches
• Creating emotionally and physically safe spaces
• Invitational and trauma-informed language
• Mindfulness and stress-reduction tools
• Posture accessibility and adaptive practices
• Instructor self-care and sustainability
• Community program design and implementation
Participants will leave with practical tools, real-world application skills, bonus educational materials, and the confidence to begin incorporating trauma-informed principles into their work and communities immediately.
Since 2022, more than 150 graduates across Nevada have completed this training and have gone on to support individuals in schools, recovery spaces, behavioral health settings, yoga studios, nonprofits, and community programs.
25 CEUs are available for Yoga Alliance, MFTs, CPCs, and LCSWs. Scholarships are available, including limited $100 off opportunities.
