2025 Carson City Library Family STEM Night | June 3rd 2025

The Carson City Library invites families to an evening of discovery and hands-on fun at Family STEM Night on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Library Digitorium and garden.
This free community event brings together local STEM leaders—including the Society of Women Engineers, Desert Research Institute, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and IEEE of Northern Nevada—to offer interactive science, technology, engineering, and math activities for early to late elementary-aged children. From building challenges to exciting experiments, young learners will have the opportunity to explore STEM concepts through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
In addition to the interactive stations indoors, families can enjoy games in the Library garden and crafts designed especially for younger children. The evening will also mark the debut of the Carson City Library’s brand-new STEM Kits, available for checkout beginning that night. These kits, generously donated by IEEE of Northern Nevada, provide tools and learning materials for families to explore STEM topics at home.
All ages are welcome to attend. Whether you’re a budding scientist or simply curious, Family STEM Night offers something for everyone. Don’t miss this celebration of learning, creativity, and community!
