One pilot is dead after his sport aircraft crashed during Monday’s qualifying heat of the Reno National Championship Air Races at the Reno-Stead Airport.
Reno Fire Dept. Chief Michael Hernandez says the plane suffered “significant structural failure to the aircraft” during the 3:30pm accident.
