As some of you night owls might have noticed, we had an outage on the Carson Now website Monday night/Tuesday morning, for about 7 hours. But this was a good problem.
The traffic for this site has more than doubled over the last six weeks. That traffic finally caught up with us on Monday, and became too much for our old web server to handle.
So today we are in the process of switching over to a newer, much faster server. Readers should begin seeing faster page loads by tomorrow as everything gets transferred over. There could be some hiccups in the process, where some newer content posts disappear for a while, but it shouldn’t affect too much.
