CARSON CITY — The Reno Corvette Club answered the call to fill a pickup with pet food at Michael Hohl Motor Company for the national nonprofit Pets of the Homeless.
Thirty-seven Corvettes, led by President Cindy Patterson, roared into the dealership and filled the truck. Staff of Michael Hohl along with Feeding Pets of the Homeless staff were there to greet the club.
The Chevy truck, costumed dogs of volunteers and staff of Pets of the Homeless can be seen during the Nevada Day Parade on October 28.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless believes in the healing power of companion pets and of the human/animal bond, which is very important in the lives of many homeless. They find solace, protection and companionship through their pets. They care for their pets on limited resources so they themselves have less. Our task, nationwide, is to feed and provide basic emergency veterinary care to their pets and thus relieve the anguish and anxiety of the homeless who cannot provide for their pets.
