The Carson City Sunset Rotary Club was proud to present the first half of a $3,500 scholarship to Maddi Saarem, a Mechanical Engineering student at UNR.
The second half check will be presented next semester.
This was part of a scholarship grant through the Rotary Foundation, where a $1,000 contribution from the club was matched with $2,500 from Rotary.
This was too good an opportunity to pass up, so we were happy to do this to help such a deserving student.
This is Rotary making a difference.
