For most of its 80th session in 2019, the Nevada Legislature proceeded without one of its mainstays: Café at Adele’s, the landmark Carson City restaurant frequented by politicos (and regular customers) for more than 40 years.

In late March, seven weeks into the session, Café at Adele’s closed after a fire broke out in a back room of the restaurant.
