Carson City Fire Department responded Monday morning to Highway 50 West near Golf Club Drive for a brush fire.
Called into dispatch at 8:50 a.m., multiple engines have responded. According to dispatch, multiple 911 callers report seeing smoke in the area.
A Carson City sheriff’s deputy arrived on scene and advised they spoke with a construction worker who said the fire started under the overpass turnoff at Golf Club Drive and that a water truck extinguished the fire.
A battalion chief on scene reports the fire is extinguished and that it was 10 feet by 10 feet in size.
