Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) is kicking off its annual Greater School Supplies Drive today, inviting community members to help local students start the upcoming school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

Now through July 31, new school supplies can be donated at any Greater Nevada Credit Union branch location across Northern Nevada. All donated items will benefit local students and families through partnerships with area nonprofit organizations and school districts.

As families continue to face rising costs, school supplies remain an added financial burden for many. During the  2024-25 school year, teachers spent an average of $895 in out-of-pocket costs. Donations of everyday classroom essentials help ensure students have the tools they need to feel confident and prepared on the first day of school.

Community members can learn more about the drive, including donation details, participating locations, and requested items, by visiting GNCU.org/Community.
