According to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Luke Easton Simpson was arrested for felony violation of release conditions after an individual reported they had found what appeared to be Child Sex Abuse Materials (CSAM) on his phone.
Last year, Easton admitted to and was convicted of possessing 212 images and 22 videos of children under the age of 16 of a sexual nature. In April 2025, he received probation.
According to the arrest report, deputies met with an individual who had come to the jail to report they had located CSAM materials on Easton’s phone.
The reporting party said that despite being registered as a sex offender in Gardnerville using a parent’s address, Easton actually lived in Wellington with the reporting party and their infant child.
Deputies spoke with Easton and asked his address. He gave the Gardnerville address, but after deputies said they’d been in contact with the reporting party, Easton admitted to residing in Wellington. Failure to accurately report or update an address is a violation of release conditions.
The case was forwarded to investigations, and Easton was arrested on the violation.
